Payment can now be made directly on Google Maps on the way to a car park or on public transport.

According to screenshots shared by Google, when you create a route for a car park in Google Maps, there is a “pay parking fee” button right below. When you tap this button, you can pay your parking fee by entering the system how long you will park using your payment method registered in Google Pay.

In addition, thanks to the public transport fee payment feature, when you create a route to a location in Google Maps, you also have the option to go by public transport, and next to this option there is a “Pay” button. When you click this button, you can pay for the trip in question before you get on public transport.

According to Google, the company has collaborated with more than 80 public transport agencies around the world for the feature. The feature, which has not been disclosed in exactly which cities it is available in, is currently only available in the Android app. The parking fee payment feature is currently only available in over 400 cities in the United States.
